Asheldham night session

After the disasterous session at Craptains lake, Graham and myself made the most of having monday off by fishing an overnight session at Asheldham lake (BDAC).
After getting lost on the way (hadn't been there for a couple of years!) we arrived at around 7pm on sunday. It was quite mild with a strong southwesterly breeze.
The lake itself is another mature pit with lots of secluded bays, lily pads, snags and overhanging trees so plenty of features and a large head of hard fighting carp.
There were two guys fishing the carpark swims so we had a scout about and found some fish in one of the little bays which you reach via a footbridge that goes across part of the lake. It even smelt a bit carpy!
It didn't take long for some action and I caught almost straight away and continued all through the night until the next morning! 12 fish in all, from around 7lb up to low doubles (2 x 12lb commons and a 13lb 8oz mirror) Graham had 4 carp I think, though he likes his sleep too much to fish keenly all night!
Nice end to the weekend, especially when all the fish fight like demons as they do there!
